Labor Market RFP
The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board is soliciting proposals from organizations interested in providing professional services to conduct a Labor Market Study for Grundy, Livingston, and Kankakee Counties, which comprise Local Workforce Area 11 under the Workforce Investment Act.
Responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be reviewed by the staff and members of the Workforce Board. The review Committee may elect to interview the most qualified respondents to make a final selection. Details on the purpose of the study and the scope of work can be found in the RFP.
The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board is a volunteer board responsible for planning and overseeing the local workforce investment system. Responsibilities of this Board include: creation of a local plan for workforce development, selection of one-stop center operators, negotiation of performance standards, coordination of local workforce development activities with local economic development activities, and promotion of the private sector in workforce development activities.
All types of entities are eligible to submit proposals, including public, not-for-profit, and for-profit organizations. The applicant must be able to demonstrate previous experience, the capacity and the commitment to perform the activities required of this proposal.
The Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board anticipates negotiating the contract and making the award in June 2010. Applicants must be prepared to deploy services immediately following the award of a contract/grant.
